What is NTER?

NTER is an open source, online education system. It allows you to create classes that incorporate graphics, video, text, and tests that your students can take online with their browser. All for free. NTER servers can be connected to a nationwide grid allowing courses to be shared among numerous institutions.

Course authors can create their courseware with NTER's Learning Management System in the industry standard SCORM format (Sharable Content Object Reference Model).

NTER was developed by the U.S. Department of Energy. The acronym stands for "National Training and Education Resource".
